Department of Geology of Mineral Deposits and Mining Geology was created out of joining existing departments that was dealing with ore and mining problems. New department included employess of former Ore and Salts research group, Coal Geology research group, Rock Raw Materials research group and ‘Mining Geology and Stratygraphy and Regional Geology research group’. Subject of research performed in Department of Geology of Mineral Deposits and Mining Geology includes whole spectrum of ore deposits subject, starting with exploration and documentation, through quality and quantity analysis to geological service for mining industry. There is also research performed regarding analysis of beneficiation proccess of ore deposits, evaluation of mine influence on environment including mine after closure management. All detail information on research and education and staff can be found on each research group site.
